French Baccalauréat Pass Rate Climbs to 91.8% With Record Honours Mentions

Recent reforms stressing continuous assessment along with the influence of Parcoursup have produced record honours mentions, raising questions over equity in higher education access.

Le ministère de l’éducation nationale a indiqué, jeudi 10 juillet 2025, que 679 100 candidats ont été admis au baccalauréat 2025 sur l’ensemble des filières après la session de rattrapage.
Après rattrapage, le taux de réussite au bac 2025 était de 91,8 %, en hausse de 0,4 point, par rapport à celui de la session de juin 2024 (91,4%).
