Overview
- On June 13 more than 535,000 première students took the four-hour written French exam, choosing between a text commentary or dissertation in the general stream and a commentary or contraction plus essay in the technological stream.
- The written test carries a coefficient of 5 and will be followed by a 20-minute oral assessment, also weighted at 5 points, scheduled between June 23 and July 4 across academies.
- A decree published June 12 in the Journal officiel establishes a two-hour anticipatory mathematics exam with coefficient 2 for première students, to apply from the 2027 session and first held in 2026.
- Candidates must present a physical convocation and valid photo ID, keep mobile phones and connected devices switched off and secured in bags, with random detectors in place at exam centers.
- Replacement sessions for students hindered by force majeure are set for September 8–11 for general and technological tracks, with applications requiring prompt submission of supporting documents to the rectorat.
