Overview

  • A 17-year-old suspect was killed after being struck by a high-speed Brigade anticriminalité vehicle on the four-lane N118 near Bièvres early Saturday
  • BAC officers had pursued a van for around 15 kilometers from Châtenay-Malabry following a reported motorcycle theft before the suspects abandoned their vehicle on the N118 and fled on foot
  • Despite emergency braking, the patrol car could not avoid the collision as the teen crossed the highway; three officers involved were later treated for shock
  • The second adolescent was arrested in nearby woods, remains in custody at Clamart, and the N118 has since reopened after a temporary closure
  • The Parquet has seized the IGPN to conduct dual inquiries—one into involuntary manslaughter over the crash and another into the alleged theft and refusal to obey orders
