• Katie Hong, a 16-year-old from Fremont, was last seen around 6:20 p.m. Friday at her home on Queens Court near Rix Park
• The Fremont Police Department opened an active investigation and issued a missing person alert when she failed to return home Saturday
• Hong is described as 5 feet tall, about 100 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and wearing braces
• At the time of her disappearance she was dressed in a navy blue zip-up jacket, gray sweatpants and carrying a red Patagonia backpack
