Freezing rain and sleet are expected to cause icy conditions and slippery roads in Northeast Ohio, Cincinnati, and Columbus, potentially disrupting Tuesday morning commutes.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for much of Ohio, including major counties in the Northeast and Central regions.
Although only about one-tenth of an inch of ice is expected to accumulate, this is enough to create hazardous road conditions.
Temperatures are expected to rise to the upper 30s and mid-40s by Tuesday afternoon, turning the freezing rain into all rain.
Warmer temperatures and daily chances for rain are forecasted for the rest of the week.
