Freeform has canceled popular shows 'Cruel Summer' and 'Good Trouble', leaving the network without any scripted content once the final episodes of 'Grown-ish' conclude in 2024.
'Cruel Summer', an anthology series, had completed its second season, while 'Good Trouble' will release the second half of its fifth season in January.
'Good Trouble' will be given the opportunity to film additional scenes for a supersized series finale to properly wrap up the series.
The cancellations come after the exit of Jamila Hunter, Freeform’s former executive VP of original programming and development, who launched both shows during her tenure.
These cancellations follow the recent cancellation of Freeform's animated comedy 'Praise Petey'.
