Overview
- The inaugural tour ran on September 17, with additional free departures scheduled for September 20, 25 and 27 at times varying between 9:00 and 13:00.
- Organized by the SGIRPC and the Mexico City Tourism Secretariat with Turibús, the tours are free but have limited capacity and require prior registration.
- Buses depart from the Museo Nacional de Arte (MUNAL) and conclude at the Plaza de la Solidaridad, the former site of the Hotel Regis.
- The itinerary covers 24 locations tied to the 1985 earthquake, including Tlatelolco, the Roma and Juárez neighborhoods, the General Hospital, the National Medical Center and the Multifamiliar Juárez.
- SGIRPC chief Myriam Urzúa said the initiative pays tribute to victims and rescuers and serves as a call to keep memory alive as a form of prevention and resilience.
