- Transport for Greater Manchester confirms free travel on Bee Network buses and Metrolink trams on Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day.
- Eligibility for the TfGM offer includes a veterans’ badge, MOD90 Forces ID, a Defence Discount Service card stating 'HM Armed Forces Veteran', a Veteran Railcard, or cadet uniform.
- Transdev’s local companies, including The Blackburn Bus Company, The Burnley Bus Company, Coastliner and York & Country, will provide free bus travel for serving personnel with Forces ID and veterans in uniform or displaying medals.
- Covered routes span towns and cities across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and North Yorkshire, including Blackburn, Burnley, Preston, Bolton, Manchester, York, Tadcaster, Leeds, Malton, Pickering, Whitby and Scarborough.
- Services will pause for the two-minute silence at 11am, with trams not running through Manchester’s St Peter’s Square from 10am to 1pm on November 9 and multiple bus diversions, and passengers are urged to check the Bee Network app, Transdev Go and operator websites for updates.
