Free Radical Design, the studio behind the beloved TimeSplitters franchise, was working on a remake of TimeSplitters 2 before it was shut down.
The game, initially started as a 'Fortnite clone', had shifted development to a 'What If...' narrative featuring alternate timelines and levels from the original TimeSplitters and 2005's Future Perfect.
The game was still two years away from completion when the studio was closed down, leaving the future of the project uncertain.
