Free DNIe Renewals in Chorrillos Today, Comas Drive Friday as Peru Accelerates DNIe 3.0

Officials urge residents to update their address before the October 14 voter‑roll cutoff, with online renewals and a S/30 first‑time adult fee available through year‑end.

Overview

  • Chorrillos held a one‑day free DNIe renewal campaign today with 75 slots on a first‑come basis at the DEMUNA office on Av. Defensores del Morro 1965 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prioritizing children and teens 0–17, adults 60+ and people with disabilities.
  • Onsite photo capture is provided; minors must attend with an adult, data changes require the relevant certificates, and delivery is typically about 10 business days with status checks available on RENIEC’s website.
  • Comas will host a free DNIe issuance drive on Friday, October 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the plaza de armas on Av. España (block 4, Pasaje La Libertad), with 50 spots for under‑17s, adults 60+ and CONADIS cardholders.
  • RENIEC continues the DNIe 3.0 rollout with at‑home options for holders: online renewal (S/41, code 00525), address update (S/34, code 00730) and duplicate (S/33, code 00522) via Pagalo.pe, validating identity through the DNI Biofacial app and picking up at a chosen office.
  • To ensure correct polling assignment, residents are encouraged to update their DNI address by October 14, and failure to register a habitual address correctly can draw a S/16 administrative fine under Law N° 30338; first‑time adult DNIe applications are priced at S/30 through December 31, 2025.
