Free Aadhaar Update Deadline Extended to June 2025

UIDAI offers Aadhaar holders a final opportunity to update demographic details online without fees through the myAadhaar portal.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the free Aadhaar update window to June 14, 2025, from the previous deadline of December 14, 2024.
Aadhaar holders can update details such as name, address, and date of birth online for free through the myAadhaar portal until the new deadline.
Updating Aadhaar details is recommended every 10 years to maintain accuracy and ensure smooth access to public and private services.
Biometric updates, including fingerprints and iris scans, require visiting an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre and will not be free after the deadline.
After June 14, 2025, all Aadhaar updates, whether online or offline, will incur a fee as per UIDAI’s guidelines.
