  • Provincial representatives told Fredericton councillors a site has been identified and funding secured for ultra–low-barrier transitional housing, with the first 28 units planned and a goal of 200 by 2029.

  • In Moncton, Aubrey Morton, 31, was deemed fit after a psychiatric assessment, and his bail hearing on weapon and threat charges was adjourned to Oct. 7 after he refused to appear.
