Overview
- Frasers Group announced the purchase of Swindon Designer Outlet on December 9, with the company not disclosing the price as some reports placed the figure at around £275 million.
- The outlet spans roughly 250,000 square feet, houses more than 100 stores, and draws over three million visitors a year, with tenants including Adidas, Boss, Calvin Klein, Clarks, Gant and a John Lewis Home Outlet.
- The centre was sold by LaSalle Investment Management, which has owned it since 2022, and it has been managed by McArthurGlen Group.
- Chief executive Michael Murray said physical retail remains central to Frasers’ Elevation Strategy and that owning the site strengthens its position as both retailer and landlord.
- The acquisition extends a run of UK retail property deals by Frasers Group, following purchases such as Braehead in Scotland as well as Princesshay in Exeter, Fremlin Walk in Maidstone and The Olympus Centre in Gloucester.
