The race schedule was adjusted due to rain and warm temperatures, which severely damaged the course, but fresh snowfall allowed the event to proceed.
Preuß has held the yellow leader's jersey since December 13 and will next compete in Saturday's mass start event, followed by three races in Oslo next week.
