Franz Bock Recalls Sliced Haussalami After STEC Found in Batches Sold in Greater Stuttgart

Officials warn the contaminated salami poses a risk of severe gastrointestinal illness, including rare kidney complications.

Overview

  • The recall covers Bock 'Haussalami, geschnitten' 100 g from batches CN5304 and CN5311 with minimum durability dates from 25 November through 10 December 2025 (ID mark BW EV 01707 EG).
  • Affected packs were distributed only in Baden-Württemberg via Rewe, Edeka and smaller local retailers in the Greater Stuttgart area and have been withdrawn from sale.
  • Consumers are told not to eat the product and to return it for a refund without a receipt, and to clean any surfaces or utensils that contacted the salami.
  • Shigatoxin-producing E. coli can cause (bloody) diarrhea and abdominal cramps, with incubation typically three to four days and rare cases progressing to hemolytic-uremic syndrome.
  • Customers with questions can contact Franz Bock GmbH at 07147 921110, and no linked outbreak has been reported at this time.
