- Tashawnda Drayton, known as 23 Brazy, entered the plea in Southampton County Circuit Court.

- Police say the Aug. 9, 2023 shooting on Artis Street wounded a 37-year-old man and fatally injured 10-year-old La’Marj Holden, who died three days later.
- Investigators say Drayton fled after the shooting and was arrested by U.S. Marshals in June 2024 in Boykins, where relatives had been helping her hide.
- The case moved from an initial first-degree murder charge, and Drayton previously underwent a court-ordered sanity evaluation before proceedings.
