Frankfurt S‑Bahn Disruptions Cancel S3 and Cut Frequencies Across Network

RMV and Deutsche Bahn report two concurrent issues causing extensive delays, reroutings and cancellations across several Rhine‑Main S‑Bahn lines. The S3 is suspended in full, with replacement buses operating between Bad Soden and Rödelheim. The S1 and S5 are running every 30 minutes, and all S8 short‑turn trips between Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, the airport and Kelsterbach are canceled. The S4 is diverted without stops at Westbahnhof, Messe and Galluswarte, and S6 services to or from Darmstadt begin or end at Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. Officials say the stuck switch near Galluswarte requires a custom part and will keep disruptions in place throughout Tuesday, with a return to regular service targeted for Wednesday morning.
