Frank Mancuso Sr., Former Paramount and MGM Chief, Dies at 93

Music-video and soundtrack tie-ins he championed reshaped film marketing, helping revive studios through bold release choices and asset deals.

  • Mancuso died on Oct. 1 at his Los Angeles home from complications of cancer, the family said.
  • He led Paramount as chairman and CEO from 1984 to 1991 and ran Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer/United Artists from 1993 to 1999.
