• Briones died Thursday morning in the city of Murcia after a long illness, local media reported.
• RTVE president José Pablo López offered condolences and praised Briones for his dedication throughout his illness.
• He joined RTVE in 2007 at the Sant Cugat production center, moved to Prado del Rey in 2011 to specialize in postproduction, and transferred to the Murcia territorial center in 2014 as a photojournalist.
• He had directed RTVE’s Murcia center since 2023.
• Born in Albacete in 1978, he held a Technical Telecommunications Engineering diploma from the University of Alicante and a higher technician degree in Sound from IES Puerta Bonita, after early sound work with Paramount and FORTA.
