Francis Ford Coppola's 'Megalopolis' Set for Digital Release as European Streaming Rights Acquired

The sci-fi epic, which struggled at the box office, will be available for digital streaming while Studiocanal secures European TV and SVOD rights.

Megalopolis is scheduled to debut on digital streaming platforms like Prime Video and AppleTV+ on November 12, though the date is yet to be confirmed by Lionsgate Films.
Studiocanal has acquired European TV and SVOD rights for Megalopolis, excluding Spain, Russia, and the pay-one window in France, in a seven-year deal.
The film, with a production budget of $120 million, has grossed just over $10 million worldwide since its theatrical release.
Megalopolis features a star-studded cast, including Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Aubrey Plaza, and portrays a futuristic conflict in a reimagined New York City.
Despite its box office performance, the film has sparked mixed reviews, with a 46% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, and continues to generate interest through its ambitious narrative and visual style.
