• Francine was spotted on surveillance near Lowe’s Garysburg, N.C., distribution center Saturday night, found Sunday by employee Wayne Schneider, and returned to the West Broad Street store Monday morning.
• Lowe’s search included thermal drone scans, new cameras with thermal alerts, and additional cameras installed after the confirmed sighting.
• Volunteers set food and traps to contain the cat after she appeared on camera, and a Richmond team led by store manager Mike Sida completed the pickup.
• She apparently rode a delivery truck out of Richmond on Sept. 18, prompting a community effort that included the @wheresfrancine account and a $2,000 reward.
• The Richmond SPCA marked her return by waiving cat and kitten adoption fees on Monday and Tuesday, while Lowe’s publicly thanked partner shelters and rescue groups.
