Francesco Friedrich and Laura Nolte Secure European Bobsleigh Titles in Lillehammer

Friedrich clinches his seventh two-man bobsleigh European Championship, while Nolte claims her second monobob title despite a tight finish.

Francesco Friedrich, alongside pusher Alexander Schüller, won the two-man bobsleigh European Championship in Lillehammer, finishing 0.14 seconds ahead of Johannes Lochner and Georg Fleischhauer.
This victory marks Friedrich’s seventh European Championship title in the two-man bobsleigh and doubles as a World Cup win at the same event.
Laura Nolte, the reigning monobob world champion, secured her second European Championship title in the monobob competition, following her first in 2023.
Despite leading after the first run, Nolte narrowly missed the World Cup win by 0.07 seconds and finished third overall in the World Cup standings for the event.
Lisa Buckwitz, the current World Cup leader, claimed third place in the European Championship standings, while Kim Kalicki finished fifth.
