France's Unemployment Rises to 7.4% in Early 2025

The slight increase comes as layoffs grow, youth unemployment remains high, and employment and activity rates reach record levels.

Le taux de chômage n’a que légèrement progressé à 7,4 % au premier trimestre 2025 en France.
Au premier trimestre 2025, le taux de chômage reste « légèrement supérieur » à son point bas de fin 2022 – début 2023 qui était de 7,1 % et très inférieur à son pic de 10,5 % de la mi-2015.
Les jeunes sont les plus frappés par le chômage : près d’un actif sur cinq âgé de 15 à 24 ans est sans emploi.
