France’s TNT Lineup Overhauled With New Channels and Renumbering

With C8 and NRJ12 gone, Arcom reshuffled channel allocations to streamline news viewing ahead of T18’s debut.

Overview

  • On June 6, TNT’s news channels will be grouped on 13–16 as BFMTV and CNews move up to 13 and 14 while LCI and Franceinfo occupy 15 and 16.
  • France 4 swaps from channel 14 to channel 4, creating a consecutive block of France 2, France 3, France 4 and France 5 after Canal+ withdraws.
  • Gulli shifts from 18 to 12, LCP and Public Sénat advance to channel 8 and vacant slots from C8 and NRJ12 are reassigned.
  • T18, backed by Daniel Kretinsky’s CMI France, launches at 19:45 on June 6 on channel 18 with Laurent Ruquier leading its mix of documentaries, debates and entertainment.
  • Most television sets will automatically update to the new numbering overnight with manual rescans required in rare cases according to Arcom guidelines.
