Overview
- After eight days of debate, the National Assembly’s revenue bill remains stuck and a vote is no longer expected on the initial timetable.

 - More than 2,000 amendments are still to be examined as the Assembly pauses for the Social Security financing bill and is scheduled to resume budget talks through November 12–23.
 - Public Accounts Minister Amélie de Montchalin says the deficit stands at 4.7% of GDP, while MPs have adopted headline-grabbing changes such as an RN-backed ‘exit tax’ that may not survive the legislative process.
 - Cour des comptes chief Pierre Moscovici warns the Social Security deficit has reached about €23 billion, and if no agreement is reached by the November 23 deadline the government could turn to ordinances or a special law.
