France Updates Shortage Occupation List for 2025

Île-de-France, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes report the highest number of professions in shortage, with 41, 39, and 37 roles respectively.
The list is part of policies tied to the 2024 immigration law, which allows undocumented workers in shortage occupations to apply for legal status.
