France rolls out June reforms with cheaper gas, costlier cigarettes and eased job-seeker rules

  • France Travail will replace automatic sanctions for a first missed appointment with personalized controls nationwide.
  • The Pass Navigo Liberté+ becomes available on smartphones from June 1, and RATP fare-evasion fines rise to €70 for immediate payment from June 2.
  • Later changes include TNT channel renumbering on June 6 and the launch of a mandatory EU energy label for smartphones and tablets on June 20.
