France Marks 10 Years Since the Paris Attacks With Nationwide Tributes and a New Memorial Garden

The program blends official remembrance with cultural tributes that also raise funds for victims’ groups.

Overview

  • President Emmanuel Macron will visit each attack site on Thursday before a 6 p.m. ceremony inaugurating the Jardin du 13 Novembre 2015 in central Paris.
  • The Eiffel Tower, the Hôtel de Ville and the Statue of the Republic are lit in blue, white and red on Wednesday and Thursday as a symbolic tribute.
  • The evening ceremony features Victor Le Masne’s Requiem des Lumières, the Radio France choir, the Garde Républicaine and the Chœur du 13 of survivors and relatives.
  • A commemorative album of songs from the ceremony will be released on streaming platforms at 8 p.m. Thursday, with proceeds shared by 13onze15 and Life for Paris.
  • New reporting highlights ongoing trauma among survivors and families, and additional tributes include a pre‑match minute of silence at France–Ukraine in Paris.
