Overview
- The Albane survey will recruit randomly selected 3,150 participants aged 0 to 79 across 167 zones for medical tests including blood, urine, hair sampling and lifestyle questionnaires.
- Participants will undergo seven-day physical activity monitoring, dietary recalls and standard health exams to assess exposure to pesticides, plastifiers and other pollutants.
- The study uses a cyclical design modeled on US and Canadian surveys with new cohorts every two years to adapt research questions to scientific and societal needs.
- Data will be anonymized and linked with the National Health Data System to map disease patterns against environmental and lifestyle factors.
- First results from the initial cohort are scheduled for early 2028, with a second cycle starting in 2027 and a third in 2028.
