France, Germany, Poland pledge military and humanitarian support for Ukraine counteroffensive

French President Emmanuel Macron announced plans to intensify arms shipments to Ukraine to support its counteroffensive against Russian forces.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz agreed Ukraine needs concrete security guarantees, likely to be discussed at a NATO summit next month.
The leaders promised continued support for Ukraine for as long as necessary in a show of unity between Western and Eastern Europe.
France will continue delivering weapons, ammunition and armored vehicles to Ukraine's military.
The leaders also discussed increased humanitarian aid for Ukraine, particularly after Russia's attack on the Kakhovka dam in the Kherson region.
