Overview

• France will deliver hundreds of old armored vehicles and new surface-to-air missiles to Ukraine in 2024 and early 2025.
• The aid package includes VAB armored vehicles, Aster 30 missiles, and remotely operated munitions.
• The VAB vehicles, operational since the late 1970s, are being replaced by new Griffon armored vehicles in the French army.
• The Aster 30 missiles can intercept warplanes, drones, and cruise missiles within a range of 120 km.
• France is also accelerating the production of Aster missiles and developing remotely operated ammunition for Ukraine.
