Overview
- On June 17, 2025, President Macron announced via X that Évian-les-Bains in Haute-Savoie will stage the 2026 G7 summit.
- France assumes the G7 presidency in January 2026 and holds full responsibility for organizing the summit.
- The Alpine town last hosted the G7 in 2003, following France’s most recent hosting in Biarritz in 2019 and earlier meetings in Lyon, Paris, Versailles and Rambouillet.
