Framingham Street Assault Turns Fatal as Craig West Is Charged

Oezel Sari, 64, died Monday at a Boston hospital after being injured in a Saturday assault in Framingham, according to the Middlesex County district attorney.
Craig West, 39, has been charged with two counts of assault and battery and was scheduled to appear in Framingham District Court on Tuesday.
Prosecutors report surveillance video captured the assault on a Concord Street sidewalk around 4:55 p.m., after which the assailant fled.
First responders found Sari responsive but injured at the scene, and officials have not disclosed details about his injuries.
