  • Preorders are live for the updated Laptop 16, with first batches scheduled to ship in November according to the company.
  • Pricing starts at $1,499 for the new Laptop 16; the RTX 5070 graphics module is $699, RTX 5070–equipped laptops start at $2,199, and the previous-gen model drops to $1,299.
  • The RTX 5070 module is backward compatible with existing Laptop 16 units and can be installed in minutes, with Framework claiming a 30–40% performance uplift over the prior RX 7700S.
  • The mobile RTX 5070 uses 8GB of GDDR7 and adds a rear USB-C port for DisplayPort output and up to 240W input; a revamped cooling system with Honeywell phase‑change TIM and new fans arrives alongside a 240W USB‑C PD 3.1 charger.
  • New AMD Ryzen AI 300 mainboards (Ryzen AI 7 350 or Ryzen AI 9 HX 370) are available, with support for up to 96GB of RAM, up to 10TB of storage, four simultaneous display outputs, and optional second‑gen panels that officially enable G‑Sync.
