Fraggle Rock Live Musical Debuts at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex

A Henson partnership brings musical Fraggles to the Space Coast to spark interest in NASA’s Artemis missions.

Overview

  • The new stage show, Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock: A Space-y Adventure, opened today at the Visitor Complex’s Universe Theater with twice-daily performances included with admission.
  • Walk-around versions of Gobo, Red, and Uncle Traveling Matt appear in life-size costumes fabricated by the Jim Henson Creature Shop.
  • The storyline follows the Fraggles to Kennedy Space Center where they meet AJ from the Exploration Ground Systems crew and a virtual assistant named Luna to learn about NASA and Artemis.
  • Puppeteer John Tartaglia wrote, choreographed, and directed the production and took part in a post-show Q&A at the debut.
  • Visitors are advised to check the daily guide for showtimes, with one-day tickets priced at $77 for adults and $67 for children ages 3–11, and a seasonal Fraggle character breakfast is also being offered.
