Fox Sports and Skip Bayless Settle Faraji Misconduct Claims as Wage Class Action Moves Forward

A Los Angeles judge granted Faraji’s motion to dismiss her individual counts following a confidential settlement.

Overview

  • Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Laura A. Seigle approved the dismissal of claims including sexual battery, hostile work environment, retaliation, wrongful termination and negligent supervision.
  • Faraji will continue pursuing a prospective class action alleging failure to pay minimum wages, reimburse business expenses, pay all wages upon separation, and provide accurate wage statements, along with unfair or fraudulent business practices and claims under California’s Private Attorneys General Act.
  • Court records show the parties mediated in March, an initial dismissal bid was rejected in August due to the class component, and the revised dismissal of individual counts was granted on Tuesday.
  • Fox said the matter has been resolved and declined further comment, and settlement terms were not disclosed.
  • Faraji’s complaint alleged Skip Bayless offered her $1.5 million for sex and accused former executive Charlie Dixon of groping her in 2017; Bayless, Dixon and Joy Taylor have denied the allegations, and Dixon and Taylor have said their exits from Fox were for other reasons.
