Fox News sent Tucker Carlson a "cease-and-desist" letter over his new Twitter series.
Carlson was ousted from Fox in late April after Fox agreed to pay Dominion Voting Systems nearly $800 million to settle a defamation case.
Fox demanded Carlson stop posting videos to Twitter, accusing him of violating his contract that runs until 2025 and restricts his media appearances.
Carlson's lawyers said Fox breached the contract first.
Carlson came under fire for promoting a white supremacist theory and spreading misinformation.
