Fox Channels at Risk on YouTube TV With 5 p.m. ET Deadline Today

The dispute over carriage fees threatens marquee college football plus NFL broadcasts for one of the nation’s largest streaming TV audiences.

Overview

  • Talks are ongoing and, as of this afternoon, no blackout has occurred on YouTube TV.
  • If no deal is reached, YouTube TV says it will remove Fox broadcast stations, Fox News, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, Fox Business, Fox Deportes and other Fox-owned channels.
  • YouTube TV alleges Fox is seeking above‑market fees and promises a $10 credit if loss of Fox content is prolonged, while Fox accuses Google of using market power and directs viewers to KeepFox.com.
  • Roughly 9.4–10 million subscribers could be impacted, including fans eyeing Texas vs. Ohio State this Saturday and the NFL’s opening slate the following weekend.
