Overview
- On April 30 a 17-year-old boy was discovered with multiple knife wounds at Hemlington’s Phoenix Park and was admitted to hospital in stable condition.
- Cleveland Police arrested a 17-year-old on June 9 after questioning by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team and charged him with attempted murder.
- Prior to this arrest, three further teenagers aged 17, 18 and 19 faced attempted murder charges over the same incident.
- The 18-year-old suspect is also accused of possessing an offensive weapon in connection with the stabbing.
- One of the earlier defendants, 19-year-old Wayne Peter Boyd, appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court in May and did not enter a plea.
