Fourth Suspect Re-Booked on Suspicion of Murder in Long Beach Street Vendor Killing

Detectives will present the case to Los Angeles County prosecutors for filing following the latest arrest.

Overview

  • Police identified the fourth suspect as Rion Dashon Moore, 18, who was re-booked on Nov. 4 while already in custody on an unrelated matter and is being held on $2 million bail.
  • Victim Yener Hudiel Ramirez-Miranda, 37, was shot on March 20, 2024, while selling food on East Eagle Street and died at a hospital, with police calling him an innocent bystander.
  • Earlier arrests led to charges against Rahman Snook Abdallah, 20, and Raylon Deshawn Akers, 24, for murder with handgun-use allegations, and against James Arthur Havlicheck Jr., 35, as an accessory after the fact.
  • Investigators say the shooters targeted individuals they believed were rival gang members and describe each suspect as a gang member and prohibited possessor.
  • Search warrants executed in Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Lakewood and Los Angeles yielded multiple firearms, and the investigation remains active as prosecutors review potential filings.
