Fourth Follow-Home Robbery in Six Weeks Targets L.A. Jeweler in Woodland Hills

Police are reviewing security video and searching for suspects believed to have fled in an older dark minivan.

  • Victim Ali Sedaghat, a downtown Los Angeles jewelry store owner, said he left a restaurant, noticed a flat tire, and pulled over a short distance away.
  • Two to three masked assailants, at least one wielding a knife, took a bag containing jewelry valued at more than $200,000.
  • Sedaghat believes he was followed and that his tire was intentionally slashed while he was at dinner.
  • LAPD says this is the fourth recent follow-home robbery targeting jewelers and is gathering security footage to identify suspects who drove off in an older dark or black minivan.
