Overview
- Aerial searches continued overnight into Tuesday as ground teams resumed on the 6,000-hectare property about 40 kilometres south of Yunta.
- Police say more than 100 personnel, including divers, mounted officers, drones, helicopters with infrared, dogs, ATVs and SES volunteers, are combing the area.
- Investigators do not suspect abduction, noting the access road is not a public thoroughfare and there is no evidence of foul play.
- Search leaders say progress is hampered by vast, undulating bluebush country, no known direction of travel and no scent trail detected by dogs.
- The boy, known as Gus, was last seen about 5pm Saturday wearing a grey sun hat, cobalt blue long-sleeve shirt with a yellow Minion, light grey pants and boots, and police urge tips to Crime Stoppers.
