Four-Year-Old Boy Dies in Mandurah House Fire

A tragic blaze in Meadow Springs leaves one child dead and two others injured as investigators work to determine the cause.

The fire broke out around 2pm on Sunday in a home on Carnoustie Gardens in Meadow Springs, Mandurah, south of Perth.
A four-year-old boy was found unresponsive inside the burning home and later died at Peel Health Campus despite rescue efforts.
Two other children, believed to be the boy’s siblings, were hospitalized for smoke inhalation but are in stable condition.
Firefighters faced extreme conditions with temperatures nearing 40 degrees as the house was fully engulfed, with the roof collapsed and every room affected.
Authorities have deemed the fire a non-suspicious accident, and arson squad investigators are examining the scene to prepare a report for the coroner.
