Four Teens Arrested After Shots Fired at Seattle Officer on I-5

Detectives are still seeking two others connected to the SeaTac stop.

Overview

  • Seattle police say occupants of a stolen Dodge Durango fired at a Community Response Group officer on southbound I-5, and no officers returned fire.
  • Officers executed a PIT maneuver near South 188th Street and Military Road South in SeaTac, where several suspects ran from the SUV.
  • Three girls ages 15–17 and a 16-year-old boy were arrested and booked on two counts of first-degree assault, possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful firearm possession, and eluding.
  • Police recovered a handgun near the SUV and another on the detained boy, who also had a felony robbery warrant.
  • A nearby driver’s car was struck by gunfire, a man later arrived at Valley Medical Center with leg wounds under review for a possible connection, and at least two suspects remain at large as SPD requests tips.
