Overview

• Police say a woman was struck during the chase on Exhibition Street and taken to hospital for observation with non-life-threatening injuries.
• Officers first spotted the BMW driving erratically about 12:30pm on the Eastern Freeway at Doncaster before it entered the CBD.
• The BMW, believed stolen on Sunday from the Boroondara area, was abandoned on Bourke Street Mall with its windscreen smashed.
• Two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old from the Bendigo and Yarra Ranges areas were arrested on Lonsdale Street and are being interviewed.
• Yarra Trams diverted or suspended routes 86 and 96 through the mall before services resumed just after 2:30pm as police secured the scene.
