Overview

  • Police identified the deceased as Lavkush Rana, 15, Sumit, 16, Rihan, 17, and Monu, 19, all residents of Kulesara in Greater Noida.
  • The crash occurred around 12:15 pm on Kulesara Pushta Road when a TVS Raider carrying the four collided head-on with a Maruti Suzuki WagonR.
  • The driver, identified as Nikki Tyagi, 23, was booked under Sections 106 (causing death by negligence) and 281 (rash driving) of the BNS and taken into custody.
  • A preliminary probe found the teenagers were riding without helmets on a single bike and were returning from recording reels, with police citing speed as a factor.
  • Families alleged only one ambulance transported the injured to a government hospital 16 km away, while police said the priority was urgent evacuation since private hospitals declined accident cases.
