- CCTV shows three hooded offenders attempt to force entry to a family's car in an Ashburton driveway as a couple and their two-year-old sat inside before the driver reversed and struck the thieves’ stolen Mercedes, prompting their escape.
- In Doreen, a Ford Territory was taken with two four-year-olds inside and the children were abandoned separately along Cookes Road before being reunited with their parents about 40 minutes later without physical injuries.
