Four Suspects Investigated for Graffiti on 110 Hannover Trains
Police have identified four men accused of causing over €200,000 in damages to Hannover's public transport system in December 2024.
- The suspects, aged 27 to 32, allegedly defaced 110 Stadtbahn train cars with large-scale graffiti late last year.
- The graffiti targeted trains in depots and at end stations, forcing some vandalized trains to remain in service temporarily.
- Police conducted simultaneous searches of the suspects' homes in Linden-Mitte, Nordstadt, and Döhren, seizing evidence for further investigation.
- The damage caused by the graffiti is estimated to exceed €200,000, impacting about one-third of the Üstra Stadtbahn fleet.
- Authorities are pursuing charges of communal property damage against the suspects, with investigations ongoing.
