Four Suspects Investigated for Graffiti on 110 Hannover Trains

Police have identified four men accused of causing over €200,000 in damages to Hannover's public transport system in December 2024.

The suspects, aged 27 to 32, allegedly defaced 110 Stadtbahn train cars with large-scale graffiti late last year.
The graffiti targeted trains in depots and at end stations, forcing some vandalized trains to remain in service temporarily.
Police conducted simultaneous searches of the suspects' homes in Linden-Mitte, Nordstadt, and Döhren, seizing evidence for further investigation.
The damage caused by the graffiti is estimated to exceed €200,000, impacting about one-third of the Üstra Stadtbahn fleet.
Authorities are pursuing charges of communal property damage against the suspects, with investigations ongoing.
