Overview
- On July 4, three Albanian nationals aged 27 to 30 and a 33-year-old British woman appeared in court charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and were remanded in custody
- The charges follow July 2 raids by more than 30 officers at addresses in Walsall, Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham conducted under Operation Ambler
- A fifth Albanian national arrested in London on July 3 remains in custody as detectives continue to question him
- Operation Ambler is investigating at least 37 meticulously planned high-value burglaries across eight counties from October 2024 to March 2025, with stolen luxury goods valued at over £1 million
- Detectives from Cheshire Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit, Macclesfield CID and regional forces say they are pursuing further leads and potential accomplices
