Four Shot on Chicago's West and Southwest Sides Tuesday, Two in Critical Condition
Police report drive-by gunfire in multiple cases with no arrests announced.
Overview
- A 41-year-old woman was found around 12:30 a.m. on the 100 block of South Kilbourn Avenue with multiple lower-body gunshot wounds and was listed in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
- A 35-year-old man was shot in the thigh around 12:01 a.m. in the 3700 block of West 55th Street in West Elsdon after a passing black sedan opened fire, and he was transported to Mount Sinai in good condition.
- Two men, ages 23 and 29, were struck in a 1:30 p.m. drive-by on the 4700 block of West Harrison Street when someone in a silver sedan fired shots before fleeing west.
- The 23-year-old from the afternoon attack was taken to Mount Sinai in critical condition, while the 29-year-old was hospitalized there in good condition.
- CPD said no one is in custody; Area Four detectives are investigating the West Garfield Park shooting involving the woman and Area One detectives are handling the West Elsdon case.
